As Welsh National
League Premier Division winners we played Rhos Aelwyd (League
Cup winners) on Saturday 8th August 2009.
The game finished 1-1 in normal
time (goal scored by Ashley Wilson) and Matt Holmes scored the
winner in extra time.

were on the scoresheet during the 2-2 draw at Winsford United
(28.07.09).
A Simon Hulse penalty secured a 1-0 victory over Elements Cefn
Druids (05.08.09)
Gavin Hulse Memorial 5 a side tournament
This years tournament will take place on Sunday 2nd August with
a 10.30 am start.
All teams welcome, food available and good tournament guaranteed.

2 New Signings
Kevin Edwards a midfielder from FC Cefn who previously had a brief
spell with us in 2007.
Also signed is highly rated winger Simon Smith who was previously
at Wrexham followed by short spells at Gresford and Lex.
The reserves have beaten Hole in The Wall 8-2, lost 2-4 to Borras
Park Albion and are due to play Llanrhaedr on Monday 27th July.

We have had promotion
to the Cymru Alliance confirmed and will kick off our first ever
season in the second flight when the season begins on the 14th August.
Due to the restructure of the leagues for 2010-2011 we will be aiming
for a place in the top 6 to virtually guarantee survival and another
season at that level.
We have signed 2 new players in readiness for the new
campaign. midfielder Gareth Rhys Roberts joins from Lex X1
. It is a real coup for the club and we ad to fight off interest
from several WP clubs to secure the signature. Gareth was manager
at Lex last season and led his side to the NEWFA cup final and victory
over the now defunct Mynydd Isa. He will assist in coaching duties
at the club.
Also joining is playmaker Simon Hulse who spent last season
at Ruthin town. Simon is an experienced CA player and someone who
we have been chasing for a long time.
We are hopeful of completing the signings of 4 more targets
this coming week as we try to increase the squad size with
quality additions. one player who wont be at Towerfields next
season is striker Kevin Leech who has opted to take on the assistant
managers role at Flint Town . Gareth Williams and Andy Lovett who
were both integral members of last seasons title winning squad are
both still out with long term knee injuries .
The majority of last seasons squad have put pen to paper and committed
to another season with the Town. The players who have
