Mike
does an excellent job in the middle of the park winning a
lot of possession for the team. Is strong in the air and gets
up and down the pitch well. Quiet and unassuming off the pitch,
Mike likes the physical side of the game. Could do with chipping
in with a few more goals. Clean cut lifestyle makes him the
Cliff Richard of the squad. |

Vale's 2nd most famous fan, Craig is now in his second season
with the club. On the fringes of the starting eleven at the
moment but is definitely one for the future. Has improved
tremendously over the last 12 months. |

Returned
to the fold this year after paying off his outstanding fine.
Hopefully, paying the equivalent of Brazil's national debt will
have taught him a lesson - Doubtful though. Its good to see
Nick playing again because he was wasted sitting in the pub
on a Saturday afternoon. Nick is a great example to the younger
squad members with his clean cut image. Currently playing at
right back, although he says he is great in most positions. |
| Edwards,
Rob |
Goalkeeper |
| |
Rob's
first full season and has started off superbly only conceding
one in the first three games. His handling and shot stopping
had been sound and his kicking from hand and the floor is excellent.
Hard to believe he is only 17 until you listen to him, then
its hard to believe he's not 12. Will only get better with experience
and has currently been called upto the 1st team to cover for
the absence of their keeper. He won't let anyone down. |

Another
player who has come from the Arosfa/Llangollen youth production
line, also in his second season, Mike is a fine passer of the
ball although needs to get more aggression into his game. |

Yet
another player who has re-signed for the club. Having not played
for a decade or so, it is taking him time to get match fitness
back but the touch and tackling are good. Should be quicker
than when he last played due to the aerodynamic bald look. |
| Hulse,
Gavin |

Midfield / Wing |

Gav
probably doesn't utilise his assets often enough. His exceptional
pace and should use this more to hid advantage. Part of the
Trevor mafia at the club. Master of the bleep test in training
as well as during the match when he gets the most bleeps yelled
at him from the sideline. |

David |

Seems
to have been a fixture in the side for years, so has plenty
of experience for his age. Reads the game very well and starting
to organise the defence and take command at the back. A player
who could play at a higher level if he can reduce silly errors.
His new fitness regime is paying off this season, thanks to
his new experienced personal trainer. Unfortunately for him,
referee's tend to ask for his name and number more often than
the local ladies. |

Jamie
is turning into a top class defender at this level and should
be looking to push on and break into the 1st team. He certainly
is capable of this, being strong in the tackle, has good anticipation
and is always quick to a breakdown. |
| Maybury,
Wayne |

Midfield / Forward |

Big
Wayne has had a great start to this season until he was knobbed
against Mold, damaging his knee ligaments. Top scorer after
5 games with 3 goals, Wayne has been a constant threat this
season and has proved a handful for opposition defenders always
biting their ankles. Renowned for his generosity and charity
work. |

Rhys |

In
his first season with Llangollen, and is proving to be a superb
addition to the squad. Rhys reads the game very well and is
starting to form a good partnership with Dave Lloyd. Hopefully
his confidence will grow as the season develops because at times
he is quieter than Sooty with laryngitis. |
| Owen,
Sion |
Goalkeeper |
| |
Older
brother of Rhys, Sion is now in his second season at the club.
he can feel hard done by to have lost his place in the side,
although Rob Edward's promotion to the 1st team will give him
a chance to show what he is capable of. Needs to improve distribution
which he is working on, although it has been said Douglas Bader
can kick it further. |
| Realley,
Ben |
Right
Midfield |

Ben
can play anywhere down the right hand side, although last season
he was also effective on the few occasions he played in the
middle of the park. When fired up, Ben is an asset to the squad
but sometimes seems to let the game drift by him. Possibly depends
on where he's ended up the previous night. |
| Reeves,
Kevin |

New
signing this season, Kev has started off with a couple of goals
in 3 appearances. Kev has scored for fun throughout his career
so hopefully this will continue at Llan. Kev holds the ball
up well and brings others into play and looks a good acquisition
for the club. |
| Thomas,
Johnny |

Back / Midfield |

Johnny
is a bit part player of the squad but one who can always be
relied upon. Covers several positions in defence and midfield,
although his preferred position is up front where he claims
that if chances are created for him, he will bury them. |
| Tobin,
Marc |
Midfield |
| |
'Urgency'
re-signed for the club this season after work commitments meant
he was unable to play for a couple of seasons. More laid back
than Huggy Bear, but a great asset to have him playing regularly
again. He is strong in the tackle and has great vision, so once
his match fitness returns, he should be a formidable player
at this level. |
